Itinerary

Your Luxor adventure begins bright and early with picking you up from your hotel in El Gouna. From there, you will travel for four hours in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, passing magnificent scenes on the way to Luxor. Then, you will be in Luxor’s famous West Bank, which marks the beginning of Egypt’s antiquity tour featuring the Valley of the Kings. You can find three royal tombs of the 18th to 20th dynasties, such as the tombs of Ramses II. These tombs, which indeed contained artifacts meant for use in the afterlife, are therefore relatively well preserved.

If you are interested in exploring further and seeing the tomb of the young Pharaoh Tutankhamun, our guide will take you to do that for an extra charge. After that, you will be taken to the marvelous Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This magnificent edifice built on the cliffs of the Theban Mountains is one of the preserved examples of temples built in Egypt. It has three levels that are connected by ramps and they are a clear example of the architectural dome of the ancient world, especially that of Egypt. Later, you will visit the two giant statues known as the Colossi of Memnon, then proceed to lunch before visiting the big temple of Karnak. Your Egypt day tour ends with an optional felucca ride on the Nile and a return to your hotel in El Gouna by 4:30 PM.
