Itinerary
Our tour guide from Egypt Tours will pick you up from your hotel in El Gouna in an air-conditioned vehicle for Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor, you will visit many renowned sites on the West Bank, like the Valley of the Kings, which was the final home to the pharaohs who were placed in stone tombs to await for eternity. This valley is located behind Deir el-Bahri and is marked by a pyramid-shaped mountaintop. Hatshepsut Temple rises in terraces from the plain and blends in with the Theban Mountain of limestone. The monument is crafted naturally in honor of the only female pharaoh of Egypt, Hatshepsut. Located on the West Bank of the river, the Colossi of Memnon is the remains of the splendid mortuary temple of Amenhotep III, which indicated the largest complex of this period.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you'll cross the Nile River to explore the East Bank, including Luxor Temple, almost entirely built by Amenhotep III, and further expanded by King Tutankhamun and Rameses II. Besides, Karnak Temple is a complex of temples that are sanctuaries, pylons, and obelisks, devoted to the Theban gods and Egypt’s majesty of kings. Following your tour, you will spend one night at the Lotus Hotel in the city of Luxor, then move to Cairo the next day.
After moving to Cairo, we will pick you up and transfer you by road from your hotel to Luxor Airport for a short flight to Cairo. As soon as you arrive in Cairo, your guide will pick you up, and your Egypt Day Tour will start immediately with the Pyramids of Giza or Giza Plateau to be precise (Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos). Then, move to the Sphinx, a lion-backed and human-headed statue unique to ancient Egypt.
After that, you will have lunch in a nice restaurant and walk around the Egyptian Museum, which is known as one of the most prominent museums in the whole world and has established lots of remarkable masterpieces such as Tutankhamun treasures. You will also visit the Khan El Khalili Bazaar where locals shop for everything at one of Cairo’s oldest markets. The tour guide then will transfer you to Cairo Airport for your flight to Hurghada. You will then be driven back to your hotel in El Gouna after the tour.
