Itinerary
This fantastic full-day tour takes you to the temples at Edfu and Kom Ombo. With your knowledgeable guide picking you up at your Luxor hotel for a memorable day, take an exciting two-hour trip along the picturesque Nile River towards the city of Edfu, home to the magnificent Temple of Horus, the best preserved and most complete temple in all of Egypt. The imposing structure was built in the Ptolemaic period, between 332 and 30 BC, from 237 to 57 BC. After visiting, drive for about an hour and a half to Kom Ombo, located about 70 km south of Edfu, to see a special double temple dedicated to Haroeris, the falcon god, and Sobek, the crocodile god. This is a very important temple that goes back to the Greco-Roman Period of Egypt, featuring very interesting scenes showing the ancient Egyptian calendar, medical instruments, and much more. By the end of the day, transfer back to your hotel in Luxor.
