Itinerary
Your journey will start with a hassle-free ride from your hotel located in Marsa Alam to Hurghada airport for you to take a flight in the busy city of Cairo. After landing at Cairo airport, a personal guide from Egypt tours will meet you and lead you on an amazing experience of one of the ancient wonders of the world, the Pyramids of Giza. This extraordinary place features the three enormous Giza Pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the gigantic Great Sphinx, and ruins of the ancient Valley Temple. You will also see the Great Sphinx, the largest statue ever created, which is 73 meters long by 20 meters tall. The first place you will visit is the Citadel of Salah Al-Din; this great citadel served as the political heart of Egypt until the year 1860s, as the construction was supervised by Salah ad-Din between the years of 1176 and 1182. This citadel stands tall over the city of Cairo, providing some historical and strategic background of this location during the Middle Ages.
Inside the citadel, you will also tour the famed Mohamed Ali Mosque, known as ‘Alabaster Mosque’ because of the shining alabaster stone that sheathed its wall. Then, you will head to one of the bustling places within Old Cairo, known as the Coptic area, which has the Hanging Church, one of the ancient Christian churches in Egypt, and other historical Christian sites. Then enjoy the essence of one of the most ancient and popular markets in the Middle East, Khan El Khalili Bazaar. This place presents a complex of stores with typical Egyptian products, ranging from spices and perfumes through ornaments and handicrafts. At the end of your trip, you will be taken to Cairo airport to board a flight back to Hurghada, and that will be followed by an easy ride to the hotel in the Marsa Alam.
