The first place you will visit is the Citadel of Salah Al-Din; this great citadel served as the political heart of Egypt until the year 1860s, as the construction was supervised by Salah ad-Din between the years of 1176 and 1182. This citadel stands tall over the city of Cairo, providing some historical and strategic background of this location during the Middle Ages.

Inside the citadel, you will also tour the famed Mohamed Ali Mosque, known as ‘Alabaster Mosque’ because of the shining alabaster stone that sheathed its wall. Then, you will head to one of the bustling places within Old Cairo, known as the Coptic area, which has the Hanging Church, one of the ancient Christian churches in Egypt, and other historical Christian sites. Then enjoy the essence of one of the most ancient and popular markets in the Middle East, Khan El Khalili Bazaar.
