Description

The Dahabiya Nile Cruise is an incredibly romantic and luxurious way to discover the beauty that ancient Egypt has to offer while sailing through the Nile River on board an elegant, traditional vessel. Comparatively, there are fewer numbers of outsiders on board than a larger cruise, which will make the journey more personalized. It provides a more flexible view of the sites: temples of Luxor, the Valley of the Kings, and others. The Egypt Nile cruise is a wonderful combination of serenity and adventure, cozy large cabins, solid service, and ambience, making it an unforgettable experience through Egypt's history and the beautiful landscape.

Itinerary
6 Days/ 5 Nights

Meeting you at Luxor airport or at the Luxor train station will be your appointed tour manager from Rotana Egypt, who will continue to join you then with your Egyptologist guide for a tour in Esna. An important commercial center, Esna houses the little ancient Temple of Khnum, which stands a little below 9 meters from street level. This trip will start with a short walk to the temple and a stroll around the beautiful textile streets where other wonderful things can be found. Overnight stay on your Nile boat in Esna.

Meals Included: Lunch, Dinner

We are gently sailing along our way to El Kab while sleeping on the east bank of the Nile, the former capital of Upper Egypt, now home to the temple of Nekhbet, besides a row of fascinating decorated tombs carved into the slope of the mountains. Immediately upon docking, you will take a fabulous walk across through a small fishermen village for the necropolis open visit. The boat will then make an afternoon landing at Edfu, where a Greco-Roman temple dedicated to the god Horus stands. This is arguably the best preserved of all Egyptian temples. Horse and carriage will take you to the temple through the busy city streets. After returning to the boat, you are going to sail an elegant island.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

This day for the river. It's an optional morning walk and breakfast, and immediately after that, you set sail. In the afternoon, you will stop at an island for a stroll or swim in the Nile. Dusk may allow time to walk into the desert along a valley lined with boulders covered in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and stone-age inscriptions. These images are the beginning of the shortest trail through the desert to Libya (28 days in the old times). The night will see the boat tie up at the foot of the floodlit temple of Gebel Silsileh.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Here the Nile flows between just two mountain ranges and is at its narrowest. In fact, you are likely to be the only visitors at this wonderful site because large Nile cruisers are not permitted to stop here. Visit the small temple of Horemheb and walk around the sandstone quarries where ancient Egyptians cut stone for many of their most famous temples, then enjoy a picturesque little café for tea and shisha (waterpipe). Then you will sail to a very beautiful part of the river bank to lunch and swim.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After a night aboard the sparkling waters under a star-studded sky, the morning travel has found its way into the town and temple of Kom Ombo. This temple was constructed during the Ptolemaic times, and it was placed on the site of an older temple and at the most beautiful location, probably on a bend on the river. The temple was dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile-headed god. After enjoying the temple, visit the new Crocodile Museum, which has numerous mummified crocodiles, all of which attest to the importance of the creature in this region in ancient times.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Breakfast on board your Dahabiya Nile boat, after which you will be transferred to Aswan airport/Aswan train station for final departure.
