This weeklong Egypt package travel itinerary is thrilling both in terms of the rich ancient history and the desert blend thereof, right from Cairo and its famous features to the peaceful Siwa Oasis. In Cairo, see the great pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and the Egyptian museum, and then travel to Alexandria for its historical places, including the well-known tourist site, the Library of Alexandria, and Qaitbay Castle. Most thrilling of them all is the exciting trip to the Egypt desert safari where the Siwa Oasis is located: beautiful desert views, the Temple of the Oracle, the remains of Shali Fortress, a chance to relax at the salt lakes, and so much more. This tour is well organized and provides the best of both the history of Egypt and its breathtaking landscapes and is therefore very enjoyable.

Itinerary

Rotana Travel Tour representative will meet & assist you at Cairo International Airport, thereafter, transfer to hotel by private air-conditioned vehicle, Overnight in the Hotel.

You will start your tour and enjoy a great excursion to the Pyramids of Giza. (Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus). Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, which dates back to the time of and visit the Valley Temple.Then visit the Egyptian Museum.
Overnight in Cairo.

Your exclusive tour commences with a pickup from your hotel by our knowledgeable Egyptologist, followed by a private transfer in an air-conditioned vehicle to Alexandria, located 220 kilometers northwest of Cairo.
The itinerary includes a visit to the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa and the Temple of Pompey, followed by an exploration of the Citadel of Sultan Qaitbay.
Lunch will be enjoyed at a local Egyptian restaurant in Alexandria, after which you will visit the new Library of Alexandria.

Transfer from the hotel in Alexandria to El Alamein. While in there, you will visit El Alamein Museum, El Alamein War Cemetery, and the German War Memorial.

Breakfast will be served at the hotel.

Following breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel to explore the attractions of Siwa for the day. Our first stop will be the Temple of Alexander the Great, commonly referred to as the Temple of the Oracle. Next, we will travel to the salt lake, where you can enjoy a unique swimming experience that allows you to float effortlessly on the water's surface.

Afterward, we will visit Cleopatra's Bath, located at the Spring of the Sun, a site noted by many travelers to Siwa. According to legend, Cleopatra herself bathed in these waters. We will then continue to the Temple of Umm Ubaydah, also known as the Amun Temple, situated just 200 meters from the Temple of the Oracle. This temple was constructed by Pharaoh Nectanebo during the 30th Dynasty.

Lunch will be served at Abdo Restaurant, a local Siwan establishment. Following lunch, you will embark on an adventure in the Great Sand Sea via a 4x4 Jeep. You will also have the opportunity to visit the hot and cold springs at Bir Waheed. As the day concludes, we will enjoy traditional Bedouin tea while watching the sunset. You will spend the night in a desert camp, where a BBQ dinner will be provided.  If you need to Sleep in a Hotel instead of the camp, This is also available. we have nice Ecolodges in Siwa

Breakfast at the camp, then take off back to Siwa oasis. Visit Shali Fort and free time for shopping, then proceed to the Mountain of the Dead, which is conical in shape and located slightly above a kilometer to the North of the Shali. The tombs oriented and cut in the mountain’s side date back to the twenty-six Dynasty, Ptolemaic, and the Roman periods. Gebel Al-Mawta has four important tombs worth visiting.
Then head to Cairo city, going through Marsa Matrouh, ”North Coast of Egypt”, where lunch will be served. The beach is also available. Drive to Marsa Matrouh for some exploring, and then head back to the capital city, Cairo
Reaching Cairo

Your Egyptologist tour guide will pick you up at the hotel. Get the chance to have a spectacular orientation tour of Cairo, where most of the significant sites of Old Cairo and Khan El Khalili Market are covered. You will drive up to the Saladin Citadel. Attractively located on a high ground, it houses many sketchy old ruined mosques as well as museums, but the most famous attraction remains the Muhammad Ali Pasha mosque.
Lunch will be offered at one of the local restaurants located in the area of Old Cairo.
After that, proceed towards Old Cairo to visit sites like the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Church, St. Barbara Church, and the Church of Abu Serga, one of the oldest Coptic churches that is located in Cairo.
Then head to Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, one of the most ancient bazaars situated in the Middle East. After some time, you will be picked up from Cairo airport for boarding the flight back home.
