8 Days in Cairo, Luxor, Aswan / Nile Cruise

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel’s main restaurant to start your day. After this, you will meet your coach captain who will take you to Cairo city viewing a historic tour that will focus on the Giza Pyramids soil 4500 years old.

You will start the trip by bringing you to the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Then, you will see the pyramids of the other kings who belonged to the same dynasty Chephren and Mycerinus. Would also be able to admire the Great Sphinx, the oldest and largest statue of a reclining lion which has a human head situated in the Necropolis for 4500 years. Moving on, if you wish also take a camel ride within the range of the Giza Pyramids. Perfectly, the tour continues into the Valley Temple.

After this, you will be driven by your guide and a private driver to the Egyptian Museum, which has the greatest collection of Egyptian relics in the world that contains also the wonderful golden mask treasures of King Tutankhamun, who thanks to the famous British archaeologist Howard Carter was found sealed in 1922.

The tour will after go to Coptic Cairo, where you shall be able to visit the old Roman fortress of Babylon, the Hanging Church – remarkably constructed over the ruins of ancient towers – as well as the gorgeous Church of St. Sergius, also referred to as the church of the cave or the church of the Holy Family. To cap your exploration of Coptic Cairo, you will visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue, believed to be the exact spot where the daughter of the Pharaoh found the basket of Moses in the Nile.

Then following lunch, a sightseeing tour of the Islamic Cairo area will start, where you will walk around the walls and gates of the medieval city built by the Fatimid Badr Al Gamali and then go to the narrow streets of the old city full of nice shops constructed in the tenth century. Finally, the last stop will be within one of the oldest coffee houses called Al-Fishawy located in the Khan El Khalili Bazaar where a nice refreshing cup of mint tea is offered.

Following an early morning, post breakfast check out from your hotel, you will get a connecting flight to Luxor via Cairo airport. There will be those waiting to assist you as is always our policy in any of  Egypt tour packages. You will then proceed to board the Nile Cruise which is on a five-star basis. After your first lunch on the vessel, you will go on a tour of the eastern bank of Luxor. Firstly, you will explore the Karnak Temple, the largest ancient man-made religious structure on the planet, which had previously been used as a temple in ancient Egypt. You will also explore Luxor Temple, which is quite lovely when viewed from outside at night. This was the sense of proportion that the Egyptians had, who spent over 3800 years ago building such huge structures devoted to their gods.

Then after the end of the eastern bank of Luxor tour, you will head back to the ship for dinner.

You will start your day with breakfast aboard your Nile cruise propelling you for a tour to the west bank of Luxor where you will have an expert Egyptologist guide. You will first view the magnificent Colossi of Memnon which are two stone statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III. He was the father of the famous Tutankhamun and Ramses II, the Valley of the Kings is an extraordinary burial ground in which around 62 pharaohs of the New Kingdom were laid to rest. Your discovery will also highlight the Temple of Hatshepsut also called El Deir El Bahari; the temple is dedicated to the first woman who became a Pharaoh in the history of Egypt.

After a lovely lunch, you will set sail towards Edfu and there dinner and entertainment will be provided on board.

Overnight will be spent on the Nile cruise.

Once again, you will have a meal in the main restaurant of the cruise ship, and afterward, you will visit a well-preserved Ptolemaic temple of Horus, goddess of the sky with a head of a falcon, called Edfu Temple. Next, you will cruise to Kom Ombo where you will see the interesting Temple of Kom Ombo which features a shrine for the god Sobek who is represented as a crocodile. After onboard lunch, you will further voyage to Aswan where you will enjoy dinner and stay aboard the luxurious Nile cruise.

In the morning, breakfast will be served on board. Then, your guide will assist you with the excursion to the Aswan High Dam, which is one of the most important achievements in Modern Egypt. Afterwards, you will be able to see the beautiful temple of Philae, devoted to Isis, which is located on an island where you can get to by a lovely motorboat. Later on, you will move to the granite quarries of Aswan to see The Unfinished Obelisk which is the largest one to be known. After that, you will go back to the cruise for dinner and will sleep on board.

You will have your breakfast, and then you will check out of the Nile Cruise and fly to Cairo from Aswan Airport.
