Itinerary

After the sun has set, a Rotana Travel representative will stop by your Nile Cruise or hotel in Luxor to guide you to the fabulous one-hour show at the Karnak temples. It all starts as you walk through the Avenue of the Sphinxes and stop to marvel at the imposing façade leading into the great court and the hypnotic hypostyle hall. As you make your way around the complex, you can hear the voice of a strong Pharaoh telling the saga of the history of the rulers who added to build the biggest temple in Egypt; it took more than 2,000 years of construction and different additions made by figures such as Tutankhamun, Ramses II, and Queen Hatshepsut, among others, not forgetting the Greek and Roman leaders. The second part of the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple in Luxor will have you seated with a view of the sacred lake as the complex lights up, and the story of Egypt unfolds. Please note that the show is recommended for all ages, though the ground in and around Karnak is uneven in some spots; hence, comfortable flat shoes are a good idea. You will then be transferred back to your Nile Cruise or hotel in Luxor after the show is finished.
